Position Summary:

The Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University is seeking to recruit a new Director of Clinical Training, Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology for the APA accredited School-Clinical Child Psychology Psy.D. Program. The position is a 12-month non-tenure track faculty line, with full-benefits, beginning in August 2024. We are looking for an outstanding candidate with training and professional identification in clinical and/or school psychology who is familiar with the externship process in the New York/New Jersey area and The APPIC Match.

Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology is located on Yeshiva University's Resnick Campus in the Bronx, approximately seven miles north of Manhattan, New York. The School-Clinical Child Psychology Psy.D. Program is an APA-accredited combined-integrated Doctor of Psychology Program.  Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology offers three APA-accredited doctoral programs: Clinical Psy.D., School-Clinical-Child Psy.D., and Clinical Ph.D., health emphasis, a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Program, and Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Position Responsibilities: 

The position will involve:

  • Maintaining relations with current externship and internship sites
  • Receiving, reviewing, and managing all externship/internship contracts in coordination with legal and risk management
  • Preparing first-, second- and third-year students for the externship application process
  • Preparing fourth-year students for internship/The APPIC Match
  • Teaching weekly Externship/Internship Seminars for advanced doctoral students and two additional courses each semester in addition to Seminars
  • Preparing outcome and descriptive data on student evaluations of externships/internships
  • Managing all student-related training documentation
  • Preparing reports to accrediting bodies, including the annual report to the APA and periodic APA re-accreditation activities
  • Assisting with a range of program administrative and academic activities
Experience & Education Background:

The candidate should be licensed or license-eligible in New York State. Priority will be given to those with scholarship and expertise addressing the needs of diverse populations. Salary Range:

$65,000 - $91,800
