Director of Broadcast Network Engineering

Manages and serves as a primary contact for the production of athletic broadcasts. Serves as a lead broadcast producer, directs freelance staff, and creates or assists in production of live or pre-taped content. Oversees budgets and prepares related financial reports. Serves as liaison between internal and external stakeholders regarding logistics and coverage of events requiring video or audio. Maintains and operates equipment.

Manage Pitt Studios internal broadcast infrastructure and conversion to an IP based system. Routing and management of 2110 video and signals and associated equipment . Programming, management, and maintenance of network switches required to maintain functionality across Athletics venues and Pitt Studios Technical Operations Center. Manages production of national University Athletic broadcasts on the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Network, serves as primary contact for ESPN. Serves as a lead broadcast producer, including creates graphics, staffs broadcast positions, edits video footage, assists in live production of scoreboard events, creates broadcast formats, creates feature inserts, and works with content creators on feature stories. Creates and assists in the production of live or pre-taped video content for broadcasts, post-produced shows, and video features. Oversees ACC Network and game presentation event budgets. Prepares budgetary reports as needed/directed.  Maintains, operates, and troubleshoots broadcast control room equipment, including broadcast character generators, replay systems, production switchers, and other applicable technology. Acts as logistical liaison for the University, athletic department, and special events requiring video or audio.  Collaborates effectively with staff, coaches, marketing and media relations staff, and across departments.

Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
