Director of Accreditation

  • Administratively leads the LCME accreditation process, which involves facilitating the execution of long- and short-term team aims.
  • Proactively oversees the effectiveness and execution of CQI efforts related to LCME standards, directing the organization, assessment, and synthesis of pertinent data.
  • Maintains expertise in evolving LCME accreditation requirements, ensuring compliance is documented and processed in accordance with established timelines and policy.
  • Tracks priority initiatives that drive innovative approaches to meet CQI goals.
  • Partners with colleagues to develop processes, procedures, and policies to document and establish institutional practices that align with accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborates with the School’s Faculty Accreditation Lead to ensure adherence to LCME standards and drafts formal reports to the LCME as required.
  • Reviews CQI processes of curriculum review and makes recommendation for improvement and automations. Works with Faculty Accreditation Lead and other Office of Medical Education leaders to help implement and track improvement projects ensuring timely completion and documentation of plans and improvement success.
  • Develop processes and procedures to manage and access data for accreditation bodies that cover the curriculum, programs, and services for students, faculty, and administration. 
  • Create and maintain a repository of documentation in support of accreditation activities including assessment data, reports, standard documents, project plans, policy documents, affiliation agreements, and accreditation records.
  • Attend internal and external meetings related to program evaluation, information technology, student assessment, and medical education innovation that are pertinent to Einstein.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree in a health or educational field or equivalent job experience is preferred.
  • Experience in accreditation practices and knowledge of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education standards, process and polices.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in administration, project management, or quality improvement.
  • Excellent writing, strategic thinking, analytic, organizational, and presentation skills. Candidates should be proficient in Word, Excel, data management software, project management software and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced institutions and multiple stakeholders, with poise and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated experience and effectiveness with a variety of work relationships, including managing project teams, and working productively with senior or executive leadership.

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and in close consultation with the school’s academic and administrative leadership, the Director is responsible for coordinating the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s ongoing accreditation of the medical education program by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). This includes managing CQI-related activities to improve institutional compliance with LCME standards. The ideal candidate is someone with the ability to innovate, think critically, manage change, problem solve, and implement process improvements.
