Director of Academic Success
Law Dean of Students
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
The Director of Academic Success promotes the academic success of Tulane Law students in all cycles of the student experience, from matriculation, throughout law school, and as they prepare to enter the legal profession. The Director leads the Tulane Law School’s academic support programming, teaches a bar preparation course for students in their final semester, and provides academic coaching for current students and ongoing support for recent graduates as they prepare for the bar exam. This position also manages and coordinates ADA testing and learning accommodations for all law students. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, this position joins a collaborative team that partners on the many projects designed to support our diverse student population and works in collaboration with the Director of Legal Research & Writing, the Assistant Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Assistant Dean for Career Development, the Assistant Dean for Academic Services, and the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, PowerPoint, and electronic mail in a Windows environment. 
• Superior writing and editing skills.
Required Education and/or Experience
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from an accredited law school with a record of academic success.
• Bar admission in one state.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with bar examinations in different jurisdictions and curricular programming. 
• Experience working with a student population. 
• Familiarity with ADA accommodation administration.
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 27.
