GENERAL PURPOSE 

The Director for the St. Thomas Aquinas Program provides high level oversight and administration of the St. Thomas Aquinas Program and a high level of collaboration with the federally funded TRIO Program. Both programs have the goal of assisting academically and financially needy students in the pursuit of their baccalaureate degrees. The Director is responsible for overseeing the operation and administration of the St. Thomas Aquinas Program and is responsible for assisting the TRIO SSS Program meet federal goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Oversee the operation and administration of the St. Thomas Aquinas Program, including but not limited to the management of the STAP budget, development of STA 0900 and 0910 curriculum, program assessment, the utilization of data to inform student initiatives, program representation at University events, collaboration with local schools and CBOs to increase program recruitment, collaboration with internal and external constituents to increase program retention.
  • Collaborate with the TRIO team in the operation and administration of the TRIO Student Support Services Program, including but not limited to assistance in completion of grant applications, assistance in program operations and assessment, assistance in student service provision and assistance in program recruitment.
  • Develop and disburse effective academic interventions for students on academic probation.
  • Oversee the STAP/TRIO Peer Mentor Program.

 


REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree (Counseling, Student Personnel Counseling, Higher Education or a related field)
  • 5 to 8 years of work-related experience 
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Databases
  • Web Development 
  • Statistical Software 
  • Jenzabar Software 
  • Student Access, Powerfaids, Canvas

  • Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
