The Director of Fire and Emergency Services is responsible for developing, scheduling, administering, and monitoring fire and emergency services training courses in accordance with the institutional policy and procedure, and complying with standards mandated by the NC office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM). The Director provides leadership in all phases of the fire and emergency services programs and shall act as a liaison between the communities of interest and the programs.

  • Associate degree in Fire Protection Technology, Emergency Medical Science, or Emergency Management from a regionally accredited College or University
  • Five (5) years of full-time work experience in the fire or emergency services field; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above; and possess and maintain industry credentials commensurate for the position.
