What you will do:
- Handle day-to-day responsibilities for assigned projects and create long-term strategic plans for the department.
- Monitor federal and sponsor policy updates, ensuring compliance within the ORS, while equipping staff and faculty members with the tools and resources needed to complete their assigned tasks.
- Act as a bridge between faculty, primary investigators, ORS staff sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze root causes to enhance operational efficiency across all departments.
- Foster a culture of ongoing improvement and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Develop communication plans and represent the department in community outreach efforts.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field, AND
- 72 months of project management experience which includes 36 months management or leadership experience.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 120 months of related experience.
Departmental Preferences:
- 72 months of research administration background in a university, non-profit, or funding agency setting
- 36 months of proposal and budget development with various funding agencies
- 24 months of experience in the development and design of training materials, training facilitation, instructional/curriculum design and/or related field
- Experience in proposal writing or other professional/technical writing/editing/proofreading
- Training and experience in strategic planning
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA)
