Director, Enterprise Solutions

Provides leadership, planning, governance, project coordination and management for the development of technology-driven products, processes, and services for the areas reporting to the CFO & Vice President Administration with particular emphasis on Financial Services, Human Resource Services, Purchasing and Travel, and Auxiliaries.

This position is focused on managing an innovative, customer-focused Enterprise Solutions team. It helps senior leadership determine the technology solutions and prioritization for optimization and release management in support of university needs.

Essential Functions

  • Provides vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the department to meet current and future needs within the university.
  • Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building and succession planning.
  • Promotes proactive approaches using Workday to solve business needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the functional capabilities.
  • Develops the strategic direction and alignment of the functional technology to university strategy and architecture.
  • In partnership with process owners, the functional support leads, and Workday, develop and maintain strategic Workday roadmap considering desired enhancements and Workday new functionality.
  • Provide oversight of Workday release management and facilitate Workday governance meetings and determine prioritization, project plan, and resources.
  • Communicate Workday release/updates following Change Management protocols.
  • Integrations and Vendor Management Liaison; maintain awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future functionality.
  • Drives the development and application of the university¿s data governance, processes, policies, and procedures in Workday.

 Minimum education/experience required:   

  • This position requires a four-year college degree and at least 10 years of experience in business environments with emphasis on information technology, business strategy, consulting, project management, process analysis and design, systems architecture, and application development and management OR the equivalent combination of education and experience. 

    Preferred: 

  • MBA or similar education.
