Description
Responsibilities:  
The Director for Data Analytics and Records Management position plays a crucial role in leveraging data to drive the university's fundraising and advancement efforts. This multifaceted position oversees data governance, maintaining quality donor and alumni records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Conducts research, segmentation, and predictive modeling to identify prospective donors, prioritize outreach, and examine campaign effectiveness. Design dashboards and reports to provide insights that inform data-driven strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship. Additionally, the director maintains the university's online giving platforms, creating web content to facilitate donor engagement and self-service access to giving histories. Overall, this position combines expertise in data analysis, database management, reporting, fundraising strategy and concepts, and digital donor relations to maximize fundraising success.
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required. A degree in computer science, business, information technology, statistics, accounting, or similar field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years employment experience in a professional business environment is required, with business analytics and data management as a component of the experience.
  • Experience in enterprise database management systems such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Informix, or comparable systems is required. 
  • Proficiency in the use of enterprise database reporting tools such as MS SQL, Server Reporting Services, InfoMaker, Cognos, Tableau, Crystal Reports, or comparable tools is required. 
  • Experience in a development setting (i.e. fundraising, gift planning) or database administration at a higher education institution is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Proficient grammar, proofreading, writing and business letter-crafting skills are required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications and particularly in Excel (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required. 
  • Experience with Jenzabar/EX software, or related higher education CRM software is preferred.
  • Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  • Must be available for some variable schedules, including early morning meetings, evening engagements, and occasional weekend obligations.
