Director, Capital Projects and Space Planning

Direct and oversee capital projects, and respective budgets, for NYU School of Law. Direct real estate, construction, renovation and refurbishment projects, from design to completion; oversee work schedules; control furniture budget; and monitor construction budget. Oversee space planning; identify departmental requirements, facilities including design and layout; develop and control budgets; negotiate service and material costs with contractors; ensure building code compliance; and, serve as project manager. Oversee all lease agreements.



Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration or related field
Required Experience:
7+ years of progressively responsible managerial experience in administration, facilities management, construction, or other related area or equivalent combination.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate a variety of information to individuals at all levels. Proven ability to plan and implement long-term strategies for managing complex projects and resources.



In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $150,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
