Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm


Job Summary: The Director of ADA Building Assessment oversees and coordinates institutional compliance efforts with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Ensures University buildings and spaces provides equal access and opportunities to individuals with disabilities. Leads self-assessment team in conducting comprehensive accessibility assessments across the campus. Develops and implements ADA transition plan in accordance with Title II requirements. Oversees the implementation of accessibility improvements on campus. Coordinates with architects, engineers, construction teams, and other relevant parties to ensure that accessibility standards are met during pre- and post-construction phases.


Required Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Architecture and six (6) years of architecture design or assessment experience; OR master's degree in Architecture and four (4) years of architecture design or assessment experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.). Ability to perform statistical, comparative data, and trend analysis to make informed decisions and recommendations. Ability to learn training applications and evaluate training tools to facilitate educational initiatives. Excellent coordination skills. Solid understanding of architecture and accessibility principles. Knowledge emerging accessibility trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure continuous improvement in campus accessibility efforts.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Campus Development or a related area. Knowledge of the challenges and best practices in ensuring accessibility on university campuses. Three (3) years of data and trend analysis experience. Proficiency in Revit. Five (5) years of Revit experience. ADA Access Specialist credentialing. Experience leading transition plan progress for an institution of higher education or a major municipality.
