Summary

The University of Michigan has an available position of Digital Product Designer in Ann Arbor, MI.


Responsibilities*

  • Be involved in all parts of the design process: concept development, creative visualization, user research and testing, User Experience (UX) writing, system design, prototyping, and delivery.
  • Work as part of an Agile software development team with dedicated discovery, strategy, design, and development sprints.
  • Pair with a co-designer to discover design problems and formulate `How Might We...? statements.
  • Pair with a co-designer to create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and test and iterate your designs.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
  • Accomplish other tasks as assigned.


Required Qualifications*

  • Master's degree in User Experience or Human-computer Interaction or Health Informatics.
  • 24 months experience as a Product Designer.
  • Experience must include:
  • 24 months experience designing and developing web and mobile user interfaces.
  • 24 months experience conducting user research and user testing including personas, journey maps, rapid prototyping, and accessibility concerns.
  • 24 months experience developing front-end technologies including HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and React JS (JavaScript).
