This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote.

Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge and expertise in photography, videography and editing. Works collaboratively with internal and external teams to execute creative concepts and digital marketing and communications strategies. Utilizes best practices, data trends and analytics to craft detailed project guidelines aimed at unifying brand content towards set marketing and communications goals. Manages projects and collaborates with team members to achieve high-quality end results. Video and photography to be utilized across internal and external platforms, including media relations, health website, marketing campaigns, employee communications, social media.

  • 35% - Digital asset creation (Video, animations, web/social content)
  • 30% - Photography (Architecture, events, headshots, lifestyle, narrative)
  • 20% - Project development/management - collaborate with marketing and communications team
  • 10% - Video/photo asset management - Multi platform content management and optimization
  • 5% - Studio/Equipment management - Includes training for staff/contractors
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training with Photography/Video equipment, Photography/Video editing and Photography/Video Production OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training with Photography/Video equipment, Photography/Video editing and Photography/Video Production.

  • Experience and proven success in fundamentals of design and user experience, including skill to design in an appealing, lively and relevant way.

  • Advanced experience in the handling and use of professional video cameras, lenses, and tripods/stabilizers/rigs for recording 4K video and photography.

  • Demonstrated experience and proved success in recording and editing video interviews and relevant b-roll.

  • Demonstrated experience and proved success in producing professional photography.

  • Experience working in a medical setting (surgical rooms, patient rooms) and consenting patients.

  • Experience with photo and video editing programs. Extensive Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Media Encoder).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and standard business software.

  • Experience using photo and video equipment such as DSLR camera systems (Sony and Cannon), digital audio recording equipment including lavalier and shotgun microphones, studio and location video lighting, studio flash lighting, camera support and gimbal systems, teleprompter.

  • Experience with color correction, filming in various color profiles, and applications of LUTs to achieve a desired cinematic look.

  • Experience in managing and contributing to a digital assets management system (PhotoShelter).

  • Experience with task management and tracking platforms (Asana, iShare, Sharepoint).

  • Strong journalistic skills to conduct an interview that effectively tells an individual’s story.

  • Experience producing content for various social media platforms in multiple formats.

  • Experience conceptualizing, shooting and editing content for short-form videos (Reels).

  • Knowledge of best mediums used for effective story or broadcast production.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $74,300 - $134,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $35.58 - $64.42

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
