Job Summary
As a digital content creator in the Office of Continuous Improvement, you will plan, produce and create digital content to be used across all our digital channels, increasing engagement with our audiences and stakeholders. Work will be performed for departments under the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, including Business Affairs, University Analytics, Information Security, Academic Resource Planning and the Office of Information Technology and for the Office of Talent, Culture and Engagement. You will work closely with the training and operational communication teams to develop content and digital strategies. The content will then be distributed through a mix of digital channels including learning management training courses, digital signage, operational communications, newsletters, job aids and websites. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of how to use data to inform and optimize media creation, as well as experience managing and executing digital media campaigns. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategize and produce digital video content across a variety of platforms including YouTube while also making content accessible.
  • Write, storyboard, shoot and edit short-form video content independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production for digital video and multimedia projects
  • Strategize with internal teams and clients to understand objectives and develop creative treatments that achieve desired results, while respecting deadlines and budget constraints. 
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Select and schedule talent and locations for projects, while maintaining a high level of quality control throughout all stages of production.
  • Stay current on the latest trends in digital media.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with three (3) years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience in a related field (digital content creation/video production). 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of current technologies, with professional oral and written communication skills. 
  • Experience with industry standard tools and video snippet creation is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in video design, creation, and production. 
  • Experience will be a combination of both video and digital media content creation. 
  • Experience with a industry standard tools and video snippet creation is a must.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Adobe Suite with emphasis on Premiere, Illustrator, Rush, and Photoshop. 
  • Experience with wireframes, outlines, flowcharts/mind-maps, comp designs and presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynote).
  • Experience with training course content creation and delivery skills.
  • Experience with social media content creation and delivery skills.
  • Experience with organization and grouping of knowledge base material.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to complete all physical tasks as needed.
