UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) is the lifelong learning arm of the university. The division maintains the most diverse portfolio on the campus, with programs spanning pre-college, professional continuing education, workforce development, international academic and cultural exchange, and training services for corporate and agency partners. As a global leader in continuing education, CPE serves learners regionally, nationally and globally, and posts more than 55K enrollments annually making it the third largest UC Extension by enrollment. Beyond its community-facing role, CPE serves as the internal hub for online education in support of other academic units on the campus. CPE employs approximately 180 employees and draws on the expertise of approximately 1,700 instructors. |

This position is responsible for leading, developing and executing UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education’s division-wide social media strategy across channels that advances institutional and program marketing strategies, builds awareness of and affinity with UC Davis CPE’s brand, and positions CPE as an authority in professional education and workforce development. As part of the Marketing Department’s Strategic Communications team, this position is responsible for telling CPE’s “story” and demonstrating the organization’s impact through social media, including identifying content and campaigns, producing short-form video content and developing engaging visuals. This position collaborates in the development and execution of integrated content and social media strategies to nurture and grow our social media channels and works closely with the Strategic Communications team’s student assistant to produce and post social media content. This position drives organization-wide social media efforts, including training leadership and staff on the effective use of social media; leverages the latest social platforms, tools, technologies and content trends; and advocates for new approaches that advance strategic communications and overall marketing goals. Builds and nurtures online communities, actively engages with users and identifies new audiences. Promotes a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion and actively, deliberately and thoughtfully infuses inclusivity and diversity throughout CPE communications. Position Information
