Position Title Department of History and Government Adjunct (Online/Remote)
Position Summary
The Department of History and Government at California Baptist University invites applications for a remote adjunct faculty position in the disciplines of Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Public Administration.
Pay Range
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess, at minimum, a Master’s degree from an accredited institution (a terminal degree is preferred). Practitioner experience in respective fields is also preferred. 
Teaching Responsibilities
Strong candidates will embrace active teaching methods and are committed to creating an engaging online learning experience that includes:
-Use of Blackboard Learning Management Platform
-Creation of weekly video lectures
-Creation of announcements on Blackboard
-Engagement with students in discussion boards and email
-Timely grading of all course assessments
-Personalized written feedback on all graded assignments
Applicants will be considered for the general adjunct pool to teach (online/remotely) for the Department of History and Government. Applicants who meet the discipline-specific requirements and are chosen to join the faculty pool will be required to complete an Online Faculty Yearly Training as a part of the onboarding process. Upon completion of the training, the adjunct will be placed in the adjunct faculty pool. As courses become available, adjuncts may be offered a session-long contract to teach an online asynchronous course.
This position does not require a local (Southern California) presence.
