PURPOSE

The Delivery Specialist III, under supervision, supervises and trains delivery specialists; assists in sorting duties in the central mail room; oversees and executes delivering and collecting mail throughout campus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Area 1: Operational

Percent Effort: 50%

  • Supervises and assists with collecting, sorting, preparing, and distributing office products, parcels, mail, intercampus mail, and some custodial products to campus customers.

  • Receive, scan, sort, bundle, pack, load and deliver mail.

  • Prepare high volume mail and operates meter equipment.

Functional Area 2: Administrative

Percent Effort: 25%

  • Deliver accountable mail including receipt reconciliation and primary delivery.

  • Provide customer service at the service window and on-campus, including cash handling responsibilities.

Functional Area 3: Other

Percent Effort: 25%

  • Maintain golf carts and all service records related to maintenance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Two (2) years of related experience in a mail-room or delivery service environment.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Excellent customer services skills.

  • Ability to work well individually and as a team.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and prioritize work assignments and manage time effectively.

  • Ability to operate mail processing equipment.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.

WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE

  • Three (3) years of experience in a mail-room or delivery service environment.

SALARY $16.50 Hourly ($34,320 Annually approx.)
