Required License/Registration/Certification
Microsoft SQL Certification on the current version of Microsoft SQL Server is required within one year of hire date.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Shift
This is primarily a day shift Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. However, as an exempt-level position, additional hours may be required as needed to perform job duties.
This position offers a hybrid work model. While there is flexibility for remote work, candidates must be able to work on-site when needed. .
Job Summary
The successful DBA Engineer III will provide tier 2 and some tier 1 support of all ITS incidents and requests for UK HealthCare database environment. Primary duties include incident and request intake, installation, configuration, documentation.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of IT technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL Scripting, computing hardware, computing software, troubleshooting skills, and independent thinking.

Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related experience preferred.
