Position Summary
Summer Internship at Center for Translational Bioinformatics (CTBI) at Washington University for a data assistant. The summer data assistant will learn basic knowledge of Python programming language and Linux operating system. The candidate will also transfer data, store data, and assist in the formatting of large disease research data sets from external sites and will also learn how to run data sets through established pipelines.


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enters data into computer system.
  • Sorts, copies and files records.
  • Assists with editing of documents.
  • Assists staff with retrieval of information.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in computers.
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment, computer and organizational skills.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
