JOB DESCRIPTION:

Has responsibility for mining and analyzing data from various internal and external data sources in support of Emory's healthcare, research and/or teaching missions.

Works collaboratively with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that leverage data and advanced analytics tools to solve clinical and operational problems and/or answer research questions.

Uses large data sets and models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action using predictive algorithms and effectively uses data to communicate with stakeholders.

Actively directs and participates in training and data adoption activities.

Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or another quantitative field.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Knowledge of real world application of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and/or statistical theory and methods (e.g., regression).

Independent research capabilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to work both independently and in collaborative team settings.
