Position Summary:

The Customer Service Coordinator provides timely, accurate, and courteous service to our customers and patients telephonically. This individual is responsible for all inbound and outbound return calls in the Patient Accounts Call Center. This individual assists with questions and provides education on financial assistance, payment arrangements, and discounts over the phone ensuring positive patient experience.This individual provides estimates on scheduled procedures. This individual has in-depth knowledge and understanding of revenue cycle processes in order to assist patients with on-the-spot resolution to their questions or concerns. This individual has sound decision-making and problem-solving skills and an ability to multi-task. This position has direct correlation to patient experience and daily cash collections.


Position Qualification:

Good customer service skills - talks to patients over the phone. Comfortable with asking for and collecting money - establishing payment plans and collecting money over the phone. Must be able to sit on the phone a majority of the day talking to patients. Flexible to cross-train with our Financial Counseling team- running procedure estimates and potentially making pre procedure phone calls to establish patient financial responsibility. Ability to learn how to read and understand documents such as bank statements to review Financial Assistance applications. 1-3 months work experience preferred.
