Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Customer Service Assistant - Jupiter, FL.


Summary of responsibilities include:

  • Supervise volunteer greeters during daytime classes, special events and evening or weekend classes as needed each semester, to include being present before and after each class.
  • Provide volunteers with necessary class material.
  • Facilitate all classes including the set-up and breakdown of laptops and scanners.
  • Greets visitors and assists patrons with registrations.
  • Perform data entry; accuracy in data entry is essential.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls.
  • Organize and scans office files.
  • Ensure volunteers have a clear understanding of, and are in compliance with pertinent OLLI policies and procedures.
  • Assist in facilitating greeter orientations.
  • Ensure fliers are printed and fully stocked in all areas throughout the complex, i.e. lobby, bulletin board, information table, classrooms, and reception.
  • Maintain condition of the lobby, student lounge and green room to include maintaining stocked inventory of all water.
  • Make announcements when needed.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Strong commitment to customer service.

Salary:

$18 to $20 per hour.

Work Days and Hours:

Monday to Friday. Hours will depend on Osher Lifelong learning presentation calendar.
Some evenings will be required"
