Work Schedule
8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday with occasional early morning, evening, and weekend hours required, as necessary. May be designated as mandatory at times.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position serves as a Customer Service and Accounts Specialist with responsibility for assisting customers via point of sale, phone contact and written correspondence to respond to inquiries as regards parking & transportation operations, as well as to secure accurate and timely collection of payments for parking permits, parking citations, transit passes, etc. Additionally, this position verifies, reconciles, summarizes, and reports all financial data and assists with statistical data collection as directed by management.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school and demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through three years of specialized office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Job Duties
  • Serve customers at front counter of the Parking and Transportation Office.
  • Correctly collect payments for parking permits, parking citations, transit passes, and answer questions on all operations for Parking and Transportation.
  • Verifies data, report writing, summarizing and reconciling financial data, records management, and statistical data collection and analysis.
  • Balances cash, check and credit card payments daily.
  • Accounts and reports for all money as directed by management.
  • Secures handling of financial resources, cash, cash equivalents and credit card information.
Other Work Responsibilities
  • May be asked to work some weekends for special events.
  • Represent the department at Resource Fairs. SOAR events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Associate’s degree with experience working in a business office/university environment setting preferred.
  • Three years of experience in office, business and/or program administration.
  • Two years face to face customer service experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using a variety of office equipment – computer, scanner, copier, fax.
  • Strong organizational skills, as attention to detail with accuracy is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office/Google; with intermediate level skill.
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable learning an enterprise data management system, experience with parking systems desired.
