INTRODUCTION:

The Department of University Housing of Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Custodian.  

This is an internal posting for current UW-Whitewater employees. Applicants who currently are not employed by UW-Whitewater in a qualifying category (University Staff, Academic Staff, Faculty, Limited) will not be considered. JOB DUTIES:

  • Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables. 
  • Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities.
  • Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents, and inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed. 
  • Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs. 
  • Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice. 
  • Additional duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting hourly wage of $15.00.

CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT:

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position.
