Accountabilities | Colgate is seeking to build a pool of temporary custodians to work as needed. Successful applicants might work extended periods due to medical leaves, shorter term for vacation coverage, sporadically for last minute call in coverage or when there are additional needs. Shifts might include weekdays, weeknights and weekends. Maintains assigned area in clean and safe condition by performing such duties as cleaning of bathrooms and shower areas, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing windows, walls and woodwork, removing trash and recyclables, extraction cleaning of carpets and cleaning of common areas. -

Education | A high school diploma or GED is preferred. |
Physical Requirements | Must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry up to a maximum of 50 pounds. Responsible for following all procedures to conduct work activities in a safe manner including but not limited to wearing PPE required for specific duties and safe handling of chemicals as outlined by University policies and/or the supervisor. Responsible for immediately reporting any unsafe conditions to the supervisor and/or Environmental Health and Safety. |
Other Information | A current, valid driver’s license, in accordance with the University’s Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, may be required for certain work opportunities. |
