Job Title: Creative Development and Content Manager (Part-time)

Reporting Relationship: Executive Director of the Imaginarium

Unit: IWU-Marion

Department: School of Theology & Ministry-IWU Marion

Campus Location: Noggle Christian Ministries

Summary of Position:    The Creative Development and Content Manager is responsible for creating and collaborating on content and resources across grant initiatives in the Imaginarium. Resources will be both digital and print and will reflect current pedagogical best practices. This position will also be responsible for cultivating an ecology of contributors to create content for websites, webinars, etc.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and publish website articles for the Strengthening Ministry with Children Coordination Program and the Imaginarium 
  • Coordinate invitations for experts and notable guests to contribute to various grant-related platforms 
  • Consult and advise Director of Imaginarium: Parenting on matters related to research and resources 
  • Write/edit correspondence and annual reports as needed 
  • Work with the Communication and Design Manager to create timely website content that aligns with programming events and project goals 
  • Oversee social media platforms across all initiatives 
  • Be proficient in Airtable creation and design to assist in staff training and development 
  • Edit and prepare content for directors of various initiatives 
  • Create and assist in designing of resources for parents and churches
  • Assess current market trends in matters related to children’s ministry and formation 
  • Stay current on relevant research related to pedagogy 
  • Collaborate with the Communication Manager to ensure the creative vision of the initiative is clearly communicated 
  • Participate in staff leadership retreats 
  • Attend IWU staff meetings as required 
  • Assist at the Strengthening Ministry Coordination Program annual gathering

Education

  • Undergraduate degree required; coursework related to Christian education and/or elementary education are appreciated

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Two plus (2+) years in full-time, local church ministry with children preferred
  • Portfolio of creative resources used in childhood spiritual formation

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with various communication platforms
  • Ability to articulate problems related to the spiritual formation of children and offer possible resources to help address these challenges
  • Strong sense of empathy for children, parents, and caregivers
  • Bible proficiency skills
  • Awareness of diverse teaching methods and modes of learning
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate content contributors
