Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, NV, is seeking applicants for a Coordinator in the Student Services and Diversity Division. The Student Services and Diversity Coordinator assists the Vice President of Student Services and Diversity in managerial duties in planning, assessing, and reporting student services activities and operations.  Working with the SSD team of Executive Directors and others, the coordinator participates in planning activities, particularly in developing measurable outcomes that relate to the College's core themes and institutional strategic plan.  The coordinator then works with each individual unit and/or department head to collect measurable outcome data, and prepares the annual division report.  The coordinator works with the SSD units to gather input to proposed NSHE and College policies and procedures, and summarizes feedback on behalf of the Vice President. The coordinator also prepares additional reports as assigned by the vice president. Additionally, the coordinator assists the Student Conduct Officer in report preparation and student conduct activities as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

2. Three (3) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's degree from an accredited institution

2. Experience working in a higher education, notably a community college, setting

3. Experience working with assessment and reporting

4. Effective oral and written communication, along with interpersonal and organizational skills, with a diverse campus community

5. Bilingual

Major Responsibilities

1. Collects, organizes, and tracks measurable outcome data from each individual unit and/or department head within SSD.

2. Coordinate and facilitate the preparation of the annual division report and strategic plan, as well as the annual campuswide SSD forums. 
3. Works with the SSD department heads to gather input for proposed NSHE and College policies and procedures, and summarizes feedback on behalf of the Vice President.
4. Collects requested information from the SSD department heads for monthly, quarterly, and/or annual meetings for the Vice President.
5. Assist in developing, planning and implementing goals and creation of measurable outcomes that relate to the College's core themes and institutional strategic plan.
6. Assist with the preparation of presentations and speaking engagements for SSD.
7. Assist in the coordination of campuswide collaborative engagement programs.

8. Assist the Student Conduct Officer in report preparation and other student conduct activities, as needed. 
9. Coordinate Threat Assessment Team meetings and tracking documents. 
10. Maintain and ensure accurate, professional communication in line with TMCC marketing, communications, and brand standards.
11. Coordinate the weekly, monthly, and semesterly SSD meetings, including agendas and notes.
12. Prepare and disseminate daily and weekly SSD emails, the SSD events calendar, newsletters, memos, and other correspondence. 
13. Other duties as assigned. 

Salary and Benefits Information:

Salary: $54,912 - $68,640, initial salary placement will be dependent on education level and years of experience.
