Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for a Coordinator of Veteran and Transfer Student Programs. The new Coordinator position is part of the state-of-the-art Academic Success Center, which opened in 2017 in the center of the SUNY Brockport campus. Working with a team of dedicated, student-centered professionals in the center, the Academic Success Coordinator will develop and implement comprehensive programs and interventions to support the ongoing academic and personal success of Brockport students with a focus on transfer and veteran students.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience planning and implementing retention and/or mentoring programmatic experiences.
  • Experience working with students.
  • Experience working with MS Office.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Experience working with students at the post-secondary level in an advisement, counseling, or student success role or related fields.
  • Experience planning diverse populations including but not limited to veterans and transfer students.
  • Experience leading educational and developmental training sessions with excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining student support programs.
  • Experience with appropriate computer programs and technology including Brightspace, Degree Works, Banner, Slate and familiarity with social media.
    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 am -5 pm
    Salary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $53,151.
