Posting Summary | Perform day-to-day operations of the Group Fitness Hub. Provide personnel management (hire, train, mentor staff), customer experience, collaborate on special events with campus partners, policy development and implementation, studio/equipment management, and an emphasis on teamwork with staff to ensure delivery of programs, organization, and safety. Promote and support the philosophy, policies, and procedures for programming and staff management that incorporate multicultural diversity, inclusivity, and social justice concepts and principles to support student development and wellbeing. Support the mission and philosophy of Campus Recreation and the University of Vermont. |
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree required; One year (every year served as a graduate assistant counts as .5 year of professional experience) of professional work experience in a college campus setting. Required to be CPR/First Aid and AED certified (or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire date). Experience with a wide variety of software platforms. |
Desirable Qualifications | Master’s degree preferred. Education in Exercise Science, Recreation, Physical Education, Health and Wellness or related field experience. ACE, AFFA and/or ACSM fitness certification. Experience teaching a variety of group exercise classes and/or knowledge of personal training programs and standards. |
