This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Position Purpose
The position is responsible for coordination of the grant activities for the de-escalation training program (COPS grant subaward). The De-Escalation Coordinator is responsible for communication with grant project staff, coordination of trainee recruitment, marketing, class set-up, scheduling, oversight of instructors, Missouri POST education program hour approval through the MSC POST Administrator, and other activities related to the program. The De-Escalation Coordinator will report to the Senior Director and will have responsibility, in coordination with the Financial Operations Coordinator, for vouchering, budget monitoring, and other reporting and administrative requirements.

Missouri POST Certified Generalist Instructor (Required)
Completion of approved Instructor Development Course (Required)
Specialty training in: Use of Force, De-Escalation Techniques, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Cultural Competency (Preferred)
Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Related Field (Preferred); Experience may substitute for education.
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation
Experience
Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in law enforcement field
Minimum 3 years Trainer experience at the police academy or in continuing law enforcement training (Preferred)
