The Central Business Office has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Contract Reimbursement Representative. The Contract Reimbursement Representative coordinates communications with payers to ensure accurate reimbursement and billing practices. Further, the Contract Reimbursement Representative serves as a liaison between applicable company departments to streamline reimbursement practices.

  • Ensures all claims are paid according to the guidelines.

  • Meets regularly with departments to identify and resolve any payment issues and denial trends.

  • Works with management to develop revenue budgets on trend analysis. 

  • Addresses reimbursement related inquiries, assesses patients’ coverage options, and provides    eligibility and benefit verification.

  • Consults and advises physicians with billing problems and initiates plans for solving such problems. 

  • Evaluates and assists with providing data to negotiate managed care contracts.

  • Reviews patient care account receivables and works with the collectors to reduce outstanding underpayment and denied claims.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

  • General knowledge of office procedures and operations

  • Skill in data entry with minimal errors

  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
