Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm.


Job Summary: The Continuing Student Temporary Assistant is for recent UA graduates or students temporarily ineligible for student employment (due to enrolment, etc.) who are continuing the work of their student role at the University for a short-term assignment (less than one year). Performs various duties with some variety and complexity for a college or department in support of a program, project, event or other sponsored activity.


Additional Department Summary: Works with Dr. Mark Elliott and Dr. Mostafa Firouzjaei on fabrication, characterization, and analysis of membranes and materials for water treatment.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Some UA student employment experience performing the same work for the department.


Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work on a personal computer including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to follow directions. Ability to perform laboratory tasks under direct supervision of a faculty mentor.


Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
