Continuing Education Lecturer - Real Estate Instructor - Part Time

Malcolm X College is currently seeking a part-time instructor to teach courses about Real Estate and best practices to follow for First Time Home Ownership. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the classroom by developing and using effective teaching strategies that meet students’ diverse needs and engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provide instruction on Real Estate and First Time Homeownership using effective teaching methods.
• Adapt teaching methods as needed.
• Process students’ records per Malcolm X College guidelines.
• Plan and conduct activities that provide students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.
• Be prepared to teach this course in-person.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred.
• Active realtors license
• At least two years experience selling Real Estate.
• At least two years experience teaching and/or coaching Real Estate related classes, courses, or seminars.
• Knowledge of  the Real Estate market and trends.
• Ability to operate technical equipment and computer software.
