Position Title Computer Science Faculty Position
Position Summary
The Gordon and Jill Bourns College of Engineering at California Baptist University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Computer Science.
While candidates should feel comfortable teaching a variety of different courses in the broad fields of Computer Science and/or Software Engineering, industry experience and/or experience in modern software development platforms/paradigms, machine/deep learning, cybersecurity, and data science is highly valued.
Candidates should be prepared to support and contribute to various aspects of the Computer Science program.

Through the Gordon and Jill Bourns College of Engineering at California Baptist University, the Computer Science degree program is accredited through the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org .
Pay Range
The compensation for this appointment will range from $85,000-$95,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Computer Science is preferred, although candidates with a Ph.D. in a related field, a master’s degree who are working towards a terminal degree or have significate industry or research experience may be considered. Requires teaching at the undergraduate level and working with industry partners is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to support the mission of California Baptist University and develop evidence of a clear understanding and commitment to teaching, service and scholarship through the integration of Christian faith and learning.
