Position Summary Information


General Information
Provide assistance to the Scientific Computing Specialist with support duties in Physics/Chemistry Building.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Must be reliable. This is critical.
Must possess basic computer knowledge.
Service and maintain departmental computer lab and assure lab guidelines
are enforced.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining printer stock.
Assist Scientific Computer Specialist in faculty and staff PC/software support.
Provide customer support. Prepare new and existing computer setups. Install hardware and software as needed. Transport hardware as needed. Assist with inventory control.

Qualifications
Previous experience in assisting in a computer lab environment is preferred.
Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
