Position Summary

Provide administrative support to the office of Registar in many functions, including but not limited to reviewing and editing the university catalog, updating webpages, creating/editing office documents, creating/maintaining office procedure manuals, processing transfer credit and communicating results to the students, and assisting with customer service in office, on the phone, via email, and at university events. This team member would work with all areas of the office.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the review and editing of the yearly academic catalog including reviewing academic programs and policies.
  • Compare academic catalog to degree evaluation system to check for accuracy.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Registrar-related University webpages.
  • Review, edit, and maintain office forms/documents including but not limited to request forms (registration, transcripts, diplomas, etc.), transfer guides, course change request forms, etc.
  • Create and maintain office procedure manuals by working with colleagues to document office processes.
  • Build and maintain transfer equivalency Banner database which may include working with faculty and staff to identify course equivalencies from transfer institutions.
  • Assist with entering data from transcripts for new and current students into Banner, communicate with students regarding these updates, in addition to documenting notes on the student’s record appropriately.
  • Support overall Office of the Registrar functions when needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Requirements

      

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
    • A willingness and ability to learn new Banner processes is essential.

    Preferred Qualifications  

    Experience with Banner is preferred.

       

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Requires great attention to detail.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
    • Comfortable working closely with others, including diverse populations.
    • Average typing skills and experience with MS office required.

    Physical Requirements

    Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds)


    Work Environment

    Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.


    Salary/Pay Information

    Commensurate with experience


    Anticipated Schedule

    Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, weekends or nights may be infrequently required for events such as Commencement.
