Job Summary: The College Student Recruitment Program Director develops, implements, oversees, and evaluates the recruitment and retention priorities and strategies for the College. Serves as liaison with University departments to ensure coordination of effort and exchange of information. Provides direct departmental support to develop individual recruitment plans and support retention within the college. May supervise other positions that assist with recruitment efforts of the college.


Additional Department Summary: Plays a vital role to the overall image of the College of Engineering associated with donors, alumni, prospective and enrolled students, parents and guests of the College of Engineering. Ensures that the College of Engineering Patterson Welcome Center is staffed to greet visitors Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm. Manages all aspects of on-campus recruiting activities for the College of Engineering including the planning of daily prospective student visits. Coordinates visiting student itineraries and schedules with other campus entities (Admissions, Honors College, etc.). Oversees external communications to perspective students and parents. Assists with event planning for major on-campus recruiting activities (E-Day, SITE, Family Weekend, visiting high schools, etc.). Works with the College of Engineering Coordinator of External Communications to ensure that all recruiting materials are current. Supervises the Engineering Scholarship Specialist and serves as the Advisor for the Ambassadors of the College of Engineering (ACEs). This position will require travel, including evenings and occasional weekends.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including public speaking skills). Organizational skills for planning and coordinating schedules. Ability to work well with others and maintain professionalism. Ability to be flexible and be attentive to details.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leadership, supervising, recruiting, coordinating events on a College campus (or closely related experience), and/or developing social media strategies to support recruitment. Experience with Concur and Slate.
