Manages business development and sales operations pertaining to external business and industry partners’ workforce development and professional non-credit training programs

Essential Job Functions

  • Builds business partnerships with qualified prospects relevant to professional non-credit training programs
  • Manages a development pipeline from initial contact to closure by meeting minimum weekly, monthly and annual productivity and quotas to maximize growth
  • Develops rapport with qualified prospects and potential client partners by arranging information sessions and/or demonstrations to gain a better understanding of their training needs to attain new professional training opportunities
  • Maintains customer relationship management (CRM) technology to effectively manage the sales process, improving business relationships and growing the business
  • Researches target markets, as well as identifies and connects with potential leads regarding available training programs and services
  • Serves as a point of contact for inquiries regarding professional training from potential and existing client partner organizations
  • Assists with coordinating, implementing and monitoring strategic sales plans
  • Assists with the preparation and delivery of presentations, program demonstrations and informational and marketing materials to potential and existing client partners
  • Participates in networking events or in-person meetings, as needed
  • Collaborates with internal departments to identify and engage potential and existing partner organizations; maintains existing partnership agreements
  • Assists with departmental budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in business development, account management sales and marketing, higher education admissions or other related experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or a related field of study
  • Experience with Blackboard Ultra
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Demonstrated Project Management Skills
