Administrative Services is seeking to hire an experienced (1) Human Resources Coordinator who processes payroll and heavy data entry

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to process payroll and heavy data entry. The Human Resources Coordinator will coordinate hire and payroll data for an assigned portfolio of departments for the College of Arts and Sciences. The HR Coordinator will collaborate and work with teams across the college and departments to ensure timely and error-free payrolls for graduate students and part-time instructors are processed.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the HR Coordinator are the following:

  • Where available, electronically file completed pay authorizations by department, appointment type, and period and maintain accurate payroll records for the duration of the statute of limitation.
  • Input data from pay sheets into the payroll system; updated active payroll records as amendments were submitted; input distribution changes for prior payroll periods; and reviewed all completed payroll entries for accuracy.
  • Manage workflow to ensure the payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Other payroll duties and special projects as required and/or assigned. Receive, stamp, and copy incoming pay forms and route them to the appropriate Associate Dean for approval.
  • Respond to inquiries from teams and the central payroll office on overpayments and underpayments, charging discrepancies, terminations, amendments, allowable pay ranges, and the procedures that govern over-the-limit payments.
  • Review pay authorizations for completeness, the accuracy of computed earnings, and compliance with existing college and university policies. Also, identify visa, hire, pay group, and other issuers that impact payroll entry and liaise with departments and teams or the central payroll office to resolve computational and/or other discrepancies.
