We are seeking a dynamic Coding Basics Instructor to join our team at DevMountain! As the Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping and guiding the learning experience of our students as they learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will work closely with a dedicated Teacher's Assistant to provide personalized feedback and support to our students as they progress through the curriculum.
In this role, you can share your expertise and passion for web development with a motivated and enthusiastic group of learners. You will be responsible for ensuring that students understand the key concepts and skills taught in the curriculum and have the support they need to complete their projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Skillfully deliver and facilitate our dynamic course content to inspire students to reach their full potential
- Lead engaging in-class exercises and provide hands-on guidance
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated Teacher's Assistant to mentor students and ensure that they are mastering key concepts and best practices
- Conduct regular student reviews and critiques, providing valuable feedback to support their progress and success
- Encourage and motivate students as they navigate the challenges of learning a new skill set, empowering them to achieve their goals
- Provide prompt and meaningful feedback to students on their progress, helping them to continuously improve their skills
- Take ownership of our curriculum by consistently auditing and suggesting updates

- A drive to continually learn and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, ready to adapt and innovate on the fly
- A strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive team environment
- A willingness to give and receive constructive feedback, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment for all
- Expertise in the latest technologies and tools related to web development, including HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript
Job Skills (Preferred, not Required):
- Ability to contribute to technical curriculum
Work Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 5 months of experience in a Full-Time web development position
- Preferred: Previous experience teaching, mentoring, instructing, or tutoring
- Preferred: Leading small teams or Teacher's Assistants
Education:
- Self-taught developer, Bootcamp graduate, or equivalent degree
Other:
- Part-time, remote position
- Class hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality, recognizing the importance of these factors in creating a positive learning environment
