Job Summary:

The Department of Athletics at Marist College invites applications for the position of Club Men's Rugby Coach. Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of its Rugby Team program including, but not limited to, rugby member recruitment, selection, and performance, organizing and planning of practice sessions, and attending all home and away matches.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with other coaches, staff and student leadership. Valid state driver’s license is necessary.

Required Certifications: CPR/First-Aid/AED, AACCA Spirit Safety Certification

Essential Functions:

  • Attend all team practices/meetings (2-3 times per week)
  • Supervise & attend team games at home and away
  • Assist student leadership in making decisions about club operations
  • Supervise team tryouts
  • Develop leadership qualities in student leaders
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience as a competitive college level rugby player or coach of a college level team is preferred.
