The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNTHSC) Department of Physical Therapy is housed within the School of Health Professions which includes a Physician Assistant Studies Program and an online Master of Science in Lifestyle Medicine With Health and Wellness Coaching. The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a staff member who would like to create solutions for a healthier community by assisting faculty in producing highly qualified entry-level Physical Therapists, leaders in education, professional services, and research activities.
Position Overview
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Clinical Site Coordinator to join our team supporting the residential pathway. The department will house two pathways, the existing face-to-face pathway and the hybrid pathway (pending approvals) with students set to matriculate in July 2025. This position will report to the Director of Clinical Education in the residential pathway and work closely with the hybrid clinical site coordinator and hybrid Director of Clinical Education.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
* Recruits, schedules, and monitors clinical site contracts used for supervised clinical practice experiences for PT students in both pathways.
* Assists the Director of Clinical Education team in coordinating and evaluating the performance of clinical sites and clinical instructors (CIs) related to the clinical education of PT students.
* Recruit and obtain new clinical site contracts and CIs in support of the program’s supervised clinical education experiences.
* Maintain a network of contacts and organizations to maintain information regarding clinical rotation requirements and activities.
* Manage student records and ensure completion of needed documents for students prior to clinical rotations, providing attestation documents as needed.
* Update the Clinical Education Handbook as needed. * Maintain records for Clinical Instructor CCU certificates.
* Maintain and update online clinical education management software as requested by the DCE.
* Assist with coordination, updates, and confirmation of affiliation agreements with clinical sites to secure commitments for the clinical education of PT students.
* Assist with the organization and facilitation of continuing education programming that will enhance CI alignment with and commitment to the teaching goals of the program.
* Orient CIs on resources used in support of supervised clinical practice experiences.
* Enhance the accessibility of clinical sites by investigating and developing housing opportunities for students in rural areas.
* Schedule and track clinical site visits for the DCE and other faculty site visitors, for purposes of monitoring and enhancing students’ educational experiences.
* Process travel reimbursement for DCE for clinical site visits or other clinical education-related tasks.
* Maintain and update contact lists for clinical instructors and other information in support of the clinical year education activities.
* Schedule and coordinate the annual Career Fair for DPT students.
* Supervise student volunteers for activities related to clinical education, e.g. Career Fair, CCU events.
* Compile clinical site and clinical instructor feedback so the DCE can assess the quality of education and experiences for students at clinical education sites.
* Gather timely evaluations of CIs and clinical sites.
* Keep student portals up to date with past CI and clinical site evaluations.
* Facilitate gathering of student assignments.
* In conjunction with the DCE, ensure department compliance with all accreditation standards applicable to the clinical portion of the curriculum and the students’ supervised clinical practice experiences.

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
