Job Summary
 

Within this setting, the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology provides a comprehensive examination of justice, crime, and victimization. The program offers both an in-person and fully online  Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology that enrolls approximately 900  students across all campuses and a minor with 175 students. The department also houses an in-person and  online Master of Science (MS) program in Criminal Justice and Criminology with concentrations in  criminal justice/criminology and cybercrime. In addition, the Department offers an online Graduate  Certificate in Cybercrime. In recent years, the Department has taken strides to emphasize the importance of topics such as victimization and inequalities in the study of criminology and criminal justice, as we believe competencies in these areas strongly contribute to successful learning outcomes and provide important knowledge for future criminal justice professionals. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to both our undergraduate and graduate programs through their expertise in digital forensics specifically and cybercrime generally.

 

Reporting to the department chair, the NTT Clinical Instructor requires teaching, supervision of the Digital Forensics Lab, and service.  The position is a 10-month, non-tenure track appointment, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. 


Required Qualifications
 

MS or MA degree or higher in criminal justice, digital forensics, information technology, or cybersecurity, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in cybercrime/cybersecurity by August 1, 2024 or a  BS or BA in criminal justice, digital forensics, information technology, or cybersecurity, or a closely related field with substantial full-time professional experience including, but not limited to, law enforcement, military, and the private sector, with major responsibilities including digital forensics and/or cybersecurity

Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives

Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development


Preferred Qualifications
 

Strong record of digital forensic examiner experience in law enforcement, military, or the private sector.

Ability to use Exterro FTK software proficiently, but not required.

Law enforcement and/or military experience, including that as a trainer.

Strong interest in teaching to a military-connected student population.

Previous college or university teaching experience (part-time included).


Proposed Salary
 

Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
