Summary

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced clinical faculty member in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Our preferred applicants will be engaged in or have completed headache fellowships or have had at least three years of clinical practice in this subspecialty. The physician would see both headache and general pediatric neurology patients.

We have an excellent infrastructure for setting up a headache program. Michigan Medicine has a great adult headache program as well as NeuroSport, a program dedicated to sports neurology and concussion. We work closely with Pediatric Psychology, Neuro-ophthalmology, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and with Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. We also run a Pediatric Headache ECHO program, a telehealth program aimed at training primary doctors to manage their own patients with headaches.

The Pediatric Neurology Division at Mott Children's Hospital provides comprehensive diagnostic services and treatment for children with neurologic disorders. The Division currently includes 25 faculty members with diverse clinical and scholarly interests. Mott Children's Hospital has 26 PICU, 20 Cardiothoracic ICU, 59 NICU, and 128 general care beds.  The Division is supported by eight nurse practitioners, three ketogenic dieticians, an epilepsy care coordinator, an epilepsy surgery coordinator, nurses, and social workers. Our research assistants support both multicenter and local clinical research studies. The University of Michigan provides outstanding environments for clinical care, for student and resident education, and for translational, health services, and basic research.
