Position Summary: 

Incumbent acts as a clinical expert and leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of Clinical Information Systems across the health system.  Assesses and restructures current clinical workflow processes, leveraging technology to ensure systems development and maintenance provides operational efficiencies and supports patient safety.   Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices

Salary Range: 

 

Annual Rate  Minimum  $100,600.00                         Midpoint               $145,700.00                         Maximum              $190,800.00

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to function as a project leader and project member
  • Current CA RN license
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience implementing and supporting EMR in ambulatory / clinical setting
  • Ability to understand and interpret clinical needs and transform IT technical tools to meet such needs
  • Minimum 5 years working in a clinical management role
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Project Coordination / management experience
  • Master’s degree in Nursing  Informatics
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare IT environment and/or healthcare IT consulting organization
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Experience using / implementing EPIC
