Position Qualification


Position Summary
The UNMC College of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure leading clinical faculty and Experiential Education Coordinator/Assistant Director position (rank and administrative title dependent on qualifications) in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science. This position will work closely with the Associate Dean for Experiential Education and the Office of Experiential Programs, with responsibilities related to introductory/advanced pharmacy practice experiential education and preceptor development. Teaching as related to experiential education and professional development is expected; additional course lectures and/or course coordination may also be required per background and expertise. Scholarly activity directly related to experiential education, practice or teaching is also required. The position will support the Profession, the College of Pharmacy, and Department through service to committees and professional organizations.

Required Qualifications
Candidates who share our commitment to innovative teaching and practice, exceptional research, and leadership are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will possess a Pharm.D., have 2 years of practice experience or have completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency, and be eligible for pharmacy practice licensure in Nebraska. Excellent written and verbal communication and personal skills are required. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to network, coordinate preceptor and student activities, and prepare pharmacy students for experiential rotations. Precise attention to detail and the ability to work in a team are essential.
Supplemental Qualifications
Experience in pharmacy education and precepting student pharmacists is highly desired.
