Position Description:

The Department of Diagnosis and Oral Health at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Clinical Educator (two or three days per week) position in the DMD and Periodontic Post-doctoral curriculum.

Applicants should be able to be licensed in the state of Kentucky and have a post-doctoral certificate of specialty in Periodontics from a CODA-accredited program. Clinical experience is preferred. The successful applicant will be responsible for patient care in Periodontics and oversight of dental students and periodontic post-doctoral residents. Applicants will need to demonstrate effective communication and mentoring skills for students/residents in preclinical and clinical instruction. The applicant will be joining a department committed to a high-quality educational program with a progressive undergraduate and post/doctoral curriculum in diagnostic sciences, oral medicine, endodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial radiology, oral maxillofacial pathology, and dental hygiene.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Applicants must possess a DMD, DDS, or equivalent degree

2. Certificate of specialty in Periodontics from a CODA-accredited program

3. Be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Kentucky

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Prior clinical experience and/or experience in public health dentistry.

2. Prior clinical teaching experience
