The Department of Counselingat The University of Montana is pleased to invite applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor to begin mid-August 2024. The position is responsible for online teaching, and program coordination to support the CACREP accredited master’s in School Counseling program. The MA in School Counseling program is moving to an online delivery format, and seeks a candidate who can successfully develop and execute the program in partnership with Department faculty, recruit students, and maintain the quality of delivery that our existing face-to-face program delivers. The department is home to 6 full time faculty, one clinical faculty, and active doctoral teaching assistants.

The position’s 3-3 teaching load will include develop and teach online courses for the newly adapted online School Counseling MA program. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to advise students and aid in recruiting and retention efforts. In addition to coordinating, teaching, and advising, the successful candidate will join a team of colleagues committed to serving the department, university, and larger community.

 Full time academic year position beginning fall semester 2024
Entry Rate: $70,000

Qualifications
  •  A doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision.
  • License eligible in Montana (School).
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching and supervision.
  • Experience in K-12 school settings.

 
Preferred Qualifications

·         Graduate from a CACREP accredited program.

·         School Counseling experience.

·         Experience with program coordination.

·         Experience with online teaching.
