Job Title: Clinic Manager - ARTS

Job Summary:

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a Clinic Manager for an open position within the Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) Adult Outpatient Program, with clinic locations in Denver, Aurora, and Arvada. The ARTS Adult Outpatient Program is within the School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. ARTS Adult Outpatient clinics provide drug and alcohol assessment, psychosocial and pharmacological treatment for adults. Programs in various clinic locations include traditional outpatient, intensive outpatient and may contain specialty services for clients referred by the criminal justice system, county departments of human services, and services for pregnant women, individuals who are living with HIV or gender responsive services. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision for all staff at the clinic location.
  • Facilitates clinic staff meetings and provides guidance in the managing of cases and treatment plans, in accordance with federal/state regulations, and ARTS policies and procedures.
  • Assigns patient cases to clinic staff.
  • Monitors caseload progress and conducts quality assurance and continuous quality improvement practices; performs case audits for all counselors within the clinic.
  • Reviews and approves timesheets, ensuring compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
  • Establishes expectations and provides employee performance feedback on an on-going basis through formal and informal meetings and the annual performance reviews.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Denver, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, or a directly related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Possess a valid license in good standing with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS).
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated professional experience in the field of behavioral health, such as mental health or substance use disorder treatment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience at a supervisory level, supervising staff. 

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing or supervising substance use disorder services for special populations such as gender responsive, criminal justice, communicable diseases including HIV, medically compromised, and/or dual diagnosis patients.
  • Experience with evidence-based practices and interventions.
  • Experience as a project director or a team lead.
  • Experience working with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
  • Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record system.

  • Must agree to conduct, and successfully pass, a fingerprint check, which may include a review with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
  • Subject to pre-employment, post-accident or incident or reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing per UCD Addiction Research and Treatment Services Department Policies.

  • Ability to exercise discretion (e.g., patient confidentiality).
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic and office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn additional software programs swiftly and accurately.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $83,171 - $105,793

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
