      Position Description:

      Under general supervision, serves as the primary collector for the University's non-student accounts receivable; supports external customers and department billing specialists with the creation, maintenance, and payment of accounts receivable invoices; manages the servicing of the Perkins Student Loan Program; assists Perkins Student Loan borrowers with questions regarding their loan; provides education and outreach regarding delinquent accounts, payments, and benefits to borrowers; assigns delinquent loans to the Department of Education; serves as primary liaison with our Perkins Loan servicer; develops and maintains relationships with third party collection agencies to support collection of student, non-student, and Perkins Student Loan debt; maintains the State of Iowa setoff program; and provides back up support to student accounts including assisting students, parents, third party sponsors, and campus departments with U-Bill related questions, billing third party sponsors, third party account reconciliation, other miscellaneous student account related maintenance. This is a first shift position with a work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

      Required Qualifications:

      Any combination of progressively responsible related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to four years of full-time employment.
